Deep teal glazed zellige tiles covering a bathroom wall behind a brass heated towel rail
Architectural surfaces

Handmade
Zellige Tiles

Hand-cut and hand-glazed from natural clay, so that no two tiles read exactly alike. The surface holds the light and the colour moves across a wall - the reason zellige still cannot be imitated by a printed tile.

The material

A surface with character
rather than uniformity

Zellige is cut by hand from natural clay, glazed by hand and kiln-fired, which is where its tonal variation comes from. We develop it through our own workshops in Fès - in custom colours, sizes and layouts - for projects that want the material itself.

Defining qualities

  • Hand-cut and hand-glazed natural clay
  • Subtle tonal variation, luminous surface
  • Custom colours, sizes and layouts
  • Suitable for wet areas and feature walls

Suggested applications

  • Hotel reception feature walls
  • Restaurant counters and bar fronts
  • Spa and hammam wet areas
  • Boutique bathroom and powder rooms
In finished spaces

Custom development

From reference
to fired tile

We work from a reference image, sketch, moodboard, material direction or a complete interior concept. Colour, size, shape and layout are all adapted to the project, and each piece is reviewed for consistency and finish before it leaves the workshop.

Also developed in zellige

Hand-cut mosaic panels, borders and bespoke geometry - developed from your drawings for lobby walls, reception desks and hammam rooms. Bejmat terracotta is the companion floor material.
